In the first year of operations, USTBA will host near 250 teams in National Championships After a season of rapid growth USTBA seeks to add more areas in 2009. Becoming part of our vision of enhancing travel baseball throughout the Nation is the key to joining USTBA. To get information on how you can become part of our excitement just review our hosting events and download the USTBA Hosting agreement then fax it to our National Office for consideration.
FORMER MAJOR LEAGUER TO BRING USTBA TO TEXAS FOR 2009 SEASON
ARIZONA NOW PART OF THE EXCITEMENT BEING OFFERED THROUGHOUT USTBA
Lou Ciurca joins USTBA bringing a wide variety of baseball experience to his venues. After completing his college career Lou took his passion for the game and started developing the next generation of ball players. With over 10 years of coaching high school and club ball teams his reputation for training and developing players led him to become a major league scout. Lou is excited to use his experiences to bring USTBA to Arizona developing a quality tournament venue so the next generation of ball players can mature into future collegiate and pro players.

USTBA EASTERN NATIONALS
USTBA host its first National Championship in Destin Florida consisting of teams from Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana battle through rain and winds for the first USTBA Title of their age groups. (11's, 12's & 13's) For the 11 under division the fans witnesses top competition and nail biting games throughout the entire event. In the National Division the North Gwinnett Bulldogs from Georgia topped the Capitol City Cubs of Louisiana 2-1. And for the final game of the Championships the 11U Stringers of Tennessee battled in extra innings to claim the National American Championship Title over the East Cobb Longhorns. For the 12U Division the North Florida Bulls showed to be the team throughout the event winning all 6 games and defending the Wren Gators in the championship game 6-5. The 13U division showed to be a division of top level teams with several 1 run games. The 13U National Division was won by the Clarksville TN Orioles over the Clermont GA A's. The East Cobb Braves proved to be the team to hold the first 13U USTBA American Title and claim the Championship rings. The Braves went through the event with a 6-0 record defeating the Emerald Coast Blazers in the championship game 2-1. USTBA was honored to host these teams and look forward to the 2009 season.

West Coast	*USTBA West Coast Winter National Championship - Palm Springs, CA.* The beautiful tourist destination of Palm Springs, CA. Plays host to the USTBA West Coast Winter National Championship presented by California USTBA and will be represented by some of the finest teams from California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Oregon and other Western States in the USA! Contact Rick Melendrez West Region Director for information and to reserve your team a spot in this highly recommended event.

Nationals

Midwest	USTBA Midwest National Championship - Illinois/Indiana/Michigan The United States Travel Baseball Association (USTBA) is pleased to announce the USTBA Midwest National Championships for ages 9-14. The USTBA Midwest National Championships will be presented by Game Day USA and will bring together some of the finest teams in the Midwest. They will feature all the hoopla of national events, including opening ceremonies, parade of athletes, barbecue, fireworks show, pin trading, vendors and great team and individual awards. Both events will feature a 5 game guarantee, although most teams will play 6-7 games. Contact Steve Brandt for more information and to get your team a spot reserved.

USTBA WORKING	*MEMBERSHIPS / POINTS RANKINGS / ONLINE UPDATES* With the tremendous growth we experienced in the first season we have now been working on our Rankings database and will be implementing this for the 2009 Season. The online system will enable real-time directors access to set brackets and update the events. As the event is updated the points ranking will be also current. USTBA hoped to run its memberships from January to December each year but with the teams moving up in the Fall season this will not allow us to do so - 2008 Memberships will be honored until December 31, 2008, however the teams will need to register after September 1st to be part of the 2009 Points Ranking. The Membership date will now run from September 1st thru August 31st each season beginning September 1, 2008. Thank You for your patience and understanding.
